(Source: UNESCO - United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Chinese materials scientist Zhao Dongyuan was given the 2016 TWAS-Lenovo Science Prize today for his work discovering new materials that are now widely used, notably innovative nano-sized materials that could be used to clean water, deliver medicine and improve batteries.
