(Source: UNESCO - United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Committee meeting opens in Doha The World Heritage Committee will consider the inscription of 34 sites on UNESCO's World Heritage List at its meeting in Doha (Qatar), which began this evening and will continue through to 25 June under the chair of Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani. The state of conservation of more than 100 existing World Heritage properties will also be reviewed during the session.
