San Bernardino: There were just 14 people killed in the San Bernardino shooting spree, a tiny number when compared to the quarter of a million people living in the county, or indeed the 18.5 million people who populate greater Los Angeles. And yet, in memory of those 14, they came, in their thousands, to sit in silence, to listen to the words of their community leaders, the affected and the heartbroken, and to pay their respects.
